From the Vancouver Hairdressing Academy to Aveda Institute Vancouver
Since 1998, our salon has focused on building our team from the ground up rather than hiring talent away from other salons. Apprenticeship and mentorship have always been at the core of how we work.
In 2011, we turned that training culture into a full, government-regulated school: the Vancouver Hairdressing Academy. Our students won Canadian Student Hairstylist of the Year in each of our first two years entering the competition, and the VHA went on to train hundreds of Vancouver hairdressers.
Today, that program has grown into Aveda Institute Vancouver — Canada's only school offering a combined Aveda and Vidal Sassoon curriculum, taught across both our Vancouver and South Surrey locations.
